World Health Day - April 07, 2006

INVITATION TO VISIT PANTANG HOSPITAL ON FRIDAY APRIL 7 BETWEEN 12 NOON AND 2 PM TO MARKS THE WORLD HEALTH DAY 06’ Theme: “working together for health”

Afro-Global Alliance (Ghana) is a Non Governmental, Non Profit and a Charity Organisation working on human right, Drug Counselling, health pandemics like HIV/AIDS/TB awareness campaign, Orphanage Acceptance, among others.

The management and volunteers of AGA wishes to visit the PANTANG Hospital, A Mental care home to mark the World Health Day 2006 and also to have the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas on how to improve the present situation and the working conditions of the health workers. Donations/gift items will be presented on the visit.

World Health Day 2006 adopting this year theme, Dr LEE Jong-wooK, The Director General, WHO “gives us all an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable contribution to human health and development made by health workers. If progress can be made in the priority areas of action outlined in this toolkit and if public trust in health systems can be strengthened, or rekindled where it has been lost, then the potential gains to be made in human health and well-being are incalculable”.

We shall have the opportunity to honor three front-liners in public health and they have demonstrated ability to work even under pressure.

Programme:

1. Supervisory round visit at the 22 blocks of the PANTANG Hospital 12: 00pm
2. Introduction of selected health workers for recipients of gift items.12: 30pm
3. Presentation of items12:40pm
4. Speech on “working together for health” by Chief Austin Arinze Obiefuna 1:00pm
5. Press conference 1: 15pm
6. Refreshment 1:45pm
